This document contains addresses of all known "big data" locations. At any point during the routine, the starting address is stored at $1C and the bank at $1E. A good way to detect locations is to monitor executes of $BB/866F (DKC2:$BB/8DDF). This instruction is (LDA $1C,y), where y is 1. Most debuggers will calculate the address being read. The end of the rountine is always at $BB/86FE. (DKC2:$BB/8E6E) Level terrains are made up of 8x8 tiles. These are pieced together in 32x32 tiles using the 8x8 tilemap. The 32x32 tiles are then pieced into a full terrain using the 32x32 tilemap. All other graphics do not use a 32x32 tilemap, only using a single 8x8 tilemap. If a tileset or tilemap is not listed here, it will either be compressed using the small data routine (most BGs), not compressed at all or generated via another means (Banana Bird Caves, Bear Cabins).
